Job Description

As an Airborne Sensor Specialist, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining sophisticated airborne sensor systems designed for data collection and analysis. You will ensure the accurate gathering of information through advanced sensor technologies and work collaboratively with various teams to achieve mission objectives.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate airborne sensors before flights and ensure functionality post-flight.
• Perform routine maintenance on sensor systems and report issues promptly.
• Interpret and synthesize sensor data for varied applications, including environmental monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve sensor technology.
• Ensure data integrity and security during collection phases.
• Create and present findings from data analysis to stakeholders.
• Train and mentor new team members on operational procedures.
• Engage in cross-functional teams to optimize mission planning.
• Contribute to the development of operational manuals and standard procedures.
• Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables related to sensor tasks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or related field
• Advanced degree in related fields is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in aerial data collection and sensor operation

Technical Skills

• Hyperspectral Imaging
• LiDAR Technology

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Remote Sensing Certification from a recognized body
• First Aid and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
