Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Power Plant Operator to oversee the operations of our hydroelectric power stations. You will be responsible for managing equipment performance, leading maintenance efforts, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of hydroelectric power plants and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance checks on equipment and systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
  • Document and report any incidents or irregularities in plant operations.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in team meetings to discuss operational successes and areas for improvement.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • EPA certification in generator operation preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in hydroelectric or similar plants
Technical Skills
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills

Certifications
  • OSHA safety certification
  • First aid and CPR certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
