Job Description

We are hiring experienced Structural Iron and Steel Workers to join our team in Chicago. You will be responsible for laying out materials for the assembly of steel structures, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Cut, drill, and punch steel according to specifications.
• Assist in the operation of cranes and hoists for moving materials.
• Continuously monitor production processes for quality assurance.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline workflows.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Oversee the proper maintenance of fabrication equipment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in steel fabrication or welding

Technical Skills

• CNC Machine Operation
• Quality Control

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Welding certification from an accredited body

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• CNC Programming Experience: Experience with programming CNC machines for steel cutting.
• Quality Control Experience: Familiarity with quality control protocols in manufacturing.
