Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator (UAS Operator)

Job Description

We are seeking an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Operator to join our team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating UAS equipment for aerial photography, data collection, and surveillance. Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage UAS equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Carry out assessments on airspace and environmental factors to ensure safety.
• Utilize data analysis software to interpret UAS data.
• Contribute to the development of UAS operational procedures and protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in UAS or relevant fields are a plus

Experience

• Experience with data collection and analysis techniques.

Technical Skills

• Data analysis software proficiency (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
• GPS technology usage

Soft Skills

• Teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Advantageous

• Experience with surveying or mapping: Knowledge of using UAS for accurate mapping and surveying tasks.
• Experience with 3D modeling and photogrammetry: Ability to create 3D models from UAS imagery.
