Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our Special Education team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experiences of students with special needs by providing one-on-one assistance and facilitating classroom activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with teachers to adapt classroom activities for students with special needs.
  • Assist in preparing materials for individualized instruction.
  • Monitor student performance and provide feedback to educators.
  • Encourage students to express their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.
  • Help with administrative tasks such as record keeping and data entry.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student needs.
  • Participate in training to stay informed about best practices in special education.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in special education settings preferred
