Sewing Machine Operator

Job Description

The Pockets and Pieces Necktie Operator will be responsible for producing high-quality neckties using sewing machines and other equipment. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be able to work efficiently and accurately, and collaborate with our team to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient operation of sewing machines and troubleshoot any issues.
• Review production orders and prepare materials accordingly.
• Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and challenges.
• Utilize CAD software for pattern making and grading as needed.
• Maintain records of production times and efficiency metrics.
• Engage with production management to enhance workflow.
• Adapt to new sewing technologies and techniques as they develop.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations in the workplace.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Actively participate in team-building activities to foster collaboration.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in Fashion Design or related field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role in the textile industry

Languages

• English: Fluent
