Job Description

As a Foundry Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing processes for metal casting production. Your expertise will be invaluable as you work closely with our production teams to enhance quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of casting processes, including sand and investment casting.
  • Optimize parameters to improve quality, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Implement process control measures to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in production and equipment.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Maintain documentation related to process control, equipment maintenance, and product quality.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Metallurgy or a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in foundry process engineering
Technical Skills
  • Metal Flow Simulation Software
  • Heat Treatment Processes
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
Certifications
  • Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with Automation in Foundries: Experience in implementing automated solutions in the foundry process.
  • Experience with Alloy Casting: Hands-on experience with aluminum or magnesium alloy casting.
