Automotive Service Technicians and Mechanics

Job Description

As an Automotive Service Technician and Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electric motors and automotive systems. You will diagnose electrical faults, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the efficient operation of all motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on electric motors
• Develop repair plans for malfunctioning components and systems
• Install and calibrate new electric motors for automotive applications
• Document all repairs and service performed in compliance with company standards
• Assist customers with understanding maintenance services and repairs
• Coordinate with inventory management for part replacements and supplies
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and improvements
• Mentor junior technicians and provide training as needed
• Ensure tools and workspaces are maintained in a clean and safe condition
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations related to electric motors

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program
• Journeyman Electrician license (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a motor electrician

Technical Skills

• Electrical troubleshooting
• Motor controls and electrical circuits
• Reading electrical schematics

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with motor rewinding: Hands-on experience in repairing and rewinding electric motors.

• Certification in safety procedures (e.g., OSHA): Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices.
