Job Description

As a Rail Signaling Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of train operations. You'll be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining signal systems that communicate with trains, ensuring timely and efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement signaling systems for new train routes and upgrades to existing routes.
  • Perform testing and maintenance on signaling equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair signaling equipment as needed.
  • Help develop and implement safety policies and procedures related to signaling systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements related to signaling systems and make necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Professional certification in Signal Design or related field preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in rail signaling or a relevant field
Technical Skills
  • AutoCAD
  • MATLAB
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Advantageous

  • Experience with Positive Train Control (PTC) systems: Familiarity with PTC systems for enhanced safety and operational efficiency.
  • Project management experience: Ability to coordinate and manage signaling projects from start to finish.
