Job Description

As a Splicer Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables. You will work closely with a team of experienced technicians to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the telecommunications industry while contributing to critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with splicing and installation of fiber optic lines and cables.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on network infrastructure.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
  • Work collaboratively with senior technicians to ensure quality results.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • No prior experience required, but experience in fiber optic splicing is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and schematics
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with fiber optic splicing machines: Experience with machinery used in fiber optics splicing operations.
