Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated City Bailiff to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing court-ordered judgments and collecting outstanding debts within the city. You'll need to effectively locate debtors and initiate legal proceedings when required, ensuring justice is served.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for locating debtors efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit legal documents to initiate actions.
  • Serve court documents and summonses effectively.
  • Evaluate properties for potential liquidation.
  • Conduct seizures in strict adherence to judicial orders.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of every action taken.
  • Foster relationships with debtors and legal teams.
  • Provide detailed reports on case progress to supervisors.
  • Remain informed about changes in debt collection laws.
  • Coordinate activities with local law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Finance or related field
  • Any additional certifications in law enforcement is an asset
Experience
  • Prior experience as a Bailiff or in a similar role is highly desirable
