Responsibilities

  • Safely operate hydraulic shears for recycling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Regularly perform equipment checks and routine maintenance.
  • Sort metals into specific categories based on industry standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
  • Record processing data and complete required paperwork.
  • Help maintain inventory of scrap materials.
  • Provide training to new team members on equipment use and safety.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machinery issues and implementing solutions.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in metal recycling or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Metal sorting and grading
