Job Description

As the Labor Commissioner, you will be at the forefront of enforcing labor laws and regulations aimed at ensuring the wellbeing of employees throughout our jurisdiction. This role requires a dedicated individual who can lead initiatives to promote fair employment practices and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to promote awareness of labor rights.
  • Manage the investigation process for labor complaints.
  • Collaborate with labor unions and employer organizations.
  • Evaluate workplace compliance strategies and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for labor issues at public forums.
  • Create educational resources for employers and employees.
  • Develop relationships with community organizations to advocate for workers.
  • Facilitate training sessions on labor law compliance.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding labor laws and regulations.
  • Enhance outreach programs to inform the public about labor rights.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Law, or a relevant field
  • Master's degree in a related area preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in labor law or related roles
