Job Description

The Edger Tailer will be a vital member of our production team, responsible for the precise operation and maintenance of the edger machine. Ideal candidates should have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that wooden boards are cut and shaped to exact specifications while maintaining high quality standards. This role requires effective teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain the edger machine effectively.
• Evaluate and inspect processed wood products for conformity to specifications.
• Implement adjustments to machines based on observed outcomes during production.
• Complete documentation for production cycles and quality checks.
• Identify issues affecting production output and propose solutions.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives alongside team leaders.
• Assist in inventory management related to processed materials.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Foster a team-oriented atmosphere by supporting coworkers.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in woodworking preferred.
