Job Description

We're seeking a passionate Ski Coach to join our experienced team at Rocky Mountain Ski Resort. You will guide skiers of all levels, tailoring lessons to improve their skills and confidence while fostering a love for skiing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert ski coaching to clients of all ages.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse client needs.
• Instruct on ski safety and proper equipment usage.
• Participate in seasonal training and instructor development.
• Assist with marketing efforts to attract new students.
• Monitor weather and slope conditions to ensure safe practices.
• Encourage teamwork and positivity among clients.
• Facilitate group outings and special events.
• Keep accurate records of client progress and feedback.
• Promote a culture of safety and respect on the mountain.

Requirements

Education

• Certified Ski Instructor
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Bachelor's in Sports Science or related field preferred

Experience

• Experience teaching different levels of skiers, from beginners to advanced.

Technical Skills

• Patience and adaptability
• Knowledge of skiing safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Ability to evaluate and assess skill levels
• Organizational skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• French: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or French: Able to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Previous experience at a ski resort: Work history in similar ski resort settings.
