Job Description

As a Child Protection Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for at-risk children, responsible for investigating allegations of abuse and neglect. This role demands compassion, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of social workers, law enforcement, and health professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate reports of neglect or abuse with a focus on child welfare.
  • Work with families to create supportive and preventative strategies.
  • Engage with school officials to monitor children's wellbeing.
  • Document case progress and communicate findings to supervisors.
  • Provide testimony in court as necessary.
  • Advise families on available resources and services for support.
  • Monitor compliance with court orders and interventions.
  • Work closely with community organizations to coordinate services.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness.
