Job Description

As a Grounds Restoration Specialist, you will play a vital role in restoring and maintaining outdoor spaces, enhancing their natural beauty while also contributing to environmental conservation efforts. Your hands-on work will involve the cultivation of native plants and the restoration of habitats.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field activities for restoration projects and manage project timelines.
  • Train and direct lower-level staff in best practices for restoration techniques.
  • Participate in grant writing and proposals for securing funding for restoration initiatives.
  • Ensure high quality and productivity of restoration work performed by the team.
  • Engage with and educate the community about ecological issues and restoration efforts.
  • Implement innovative restoration techniques based on current research and methods.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or Ecology preferred
  • Relevant certifications related to environmental work preferred
Experience
  • Proven experience in ecological restoration projects
