Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Power Barker Operator to join our team. As a Power Barker Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining power barkers to debark logs efficiently and safely. Your expertise in handling machinery will ensure continuous production and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Control and operate power barkers, optimizing the debarking process.
  • Conduct routine checks and perform maintenance on machinery.
  • Document production metrics and participate in safety meetings.
  • Follow safety regulations to minimize risks and accidents.
  • Assist in training new team members on machinery operation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating power barkers or similar machinery in a manufacturing/forestry environment.
