Job Description

As a Gem and Diamond Worker, you will play an essential role in the jewelry-making process. Your primary responsibility will be to cut, shape, and polish a variety of gemstones, ensuring they meet exact specifications for quality and design. Your expertise in lapidary techniques will enable you to create beautiful pieces that reflect the beauty and brilliance of the materials used.

Responsibilities

• Drive gemstone projects from inception through to delivery.
• Implement best practices in safety and environmental considerations.
• Work closely with marketing to understand trends and customer preferences.
• Contribute to the design of promotional and creative content around the jewelry.
• Ensure finished pieces meet company standards for quality and aesthetics.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in gemstone identification or grading is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in lapidary work or jewelry production.

Technical Skills

• Polishing techniques
• Gemstone faceting

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Certified Gemologist

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in lapidary repair and restoration: Ability to restore or repair old or damaged gemstone pieces.
• Knowledge of lapidary trends: Stay updated with the latest trends in gemstone jewelry.
