Chicken Picker

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chicken Picker to join our production team. The main responsibility will be to accurately pick chicken pieces based on customer orders, ensuring quality and efficiency at every step.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select and pick chicken parts as per daily production requirements.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure product quality and freshness.
• Sort and pack chicken pieces into appropriate packaging materials.
• Keep work areas hygienic and in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Engage in proactive communication to resolve any production bottlenecks.
• Utilize machinery and tools correctly, following all safety protocols.
• Help in maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all protocols.
• Take on special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education

• Knowledge of poultry processing regulations and standards

Experience

• Prior experience in a poultry processing plant preferred.

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate chicken processing machinery
• Knowledge of quality control procedures

Soft Skills

• Flexibility
• Basic math skills

Advantageous

• Experience working in a poultry processing plant: Familiarity with different chicken cuts and portions will be a plus.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish): Effective communication with diverse team members.
