Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and customize support services accordingly.
  • Educate families about available resources and grief support options.
  • Assist in writing obituaries and personalizing memorial services.
  • Create a compassionate environment for families to share their stories.
  • Develop and lead community outreach programs on grief support.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to ensure family satisfaction and continued support.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with grief counseling techniques.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols at all times.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
