Job Description

As an Occupational Health and Safety Technician, your primary role will be to ensure a safe work environment by developing safety programs, conducting inspections, and delivering essential training to employees. You will be critical in implementing safety policies and building a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of safety programs.
• Facilitate communication regarding safety issues within the workplace.
• Collect and analyze data on workplace incidents and prepare reports.
• Assist in the development of emergency response plans.
• Engage in continuous learning about safety regulations and technologies.
• Act as a point of contact for health and safety inquiries.
• Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or a related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in safety coordination or a similar role

Technical Skills

• Accident investigation
• Emergency response planning

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
