Job Description
As a Museum Technician and Conservator, you will be responsible for coordinating exhibits, ensuring proper installation, and assessing the condition of artifacts. This role requires strong organizational skills and a passion for arts and history.
Responsibilities
Handle exhibit promotion and marketing activities, coordinating advertising efforts.
Maintain a comprehensive database of exhibits, including inventory and artwork information.
Prepare condition reports and treatment proposals for artifacts needing conservation.
Assist in developing educational content for exhibits and public programs.
Train and supervise interns or volunteers assisting with exhibits.
Participate in community outreach and engagement initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Event Management, or related field
Master's degree in Arts or related field is preferred
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in exhibit coordination or related field.
