Job Description

The Mirror Manufacturing Department Supervisor will oversee the production and quality of mirrors in our facility. This role involves leading a skilled team, ensuring production schedules are met, and upholding stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tail edging machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks on edged materials and adjust processes as needed.
• Keep accurate records of production output and machine maintenance.
• Train new employees on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Work in conjunction with quality control to maintain high standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements and production goals.
• Perform troubleshooting of equipment when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in woodworking and edge shaping is highly desirable

Technical Skills

• Experience with specific tail edging machinery
• Knowledge of safety standards

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CNC machinery: Experience with Computer Numerical Control systems that enhance production workflows.
• Knowledge of lumber grading techniques: Understanding how to assess and grade lumber quality.
