We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will handle various tax-related tasks, including preparation, compliance, and advising clients on tax strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Keep abreast of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Review and analyze financial statements and related documents.
• Assist clients through IRS audits and other inquiries.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment in financial reporting.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
• Conduct research on various tax issues to provide solutions.
• Develop and maintain ongoing client relationships.
• Assist in generating reports for management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax consulting or preparation

• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
