Prepress Technician

Job Description

The Prepress Technician, also known as a Photoengraving Proofer, is vital to creating, editing, and proofing designs and images for photoengraving processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in CAD software to ensure precision in the final products.

Responsibilities

• Design and proof images for photoengraving operations.
• Compile and provide feedback on designs, enhancing client satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency.
• Assist in training new staff in photoengraving techniques and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design is preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in photoengraving or related fields

Technical Skills

• Adobe InDesign
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Creativity

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with flexographic printing: Experience with flexographic printing processes.
• Experience with color theory: Understanding of color theory and its applications in design.
