Job Description

As a Transit and Railroad Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our transit systems. This role involves active patrol, emergency response, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce transit laws and regulations to maintain public order.
  • Investigate complaints and report findings to supervisors.
  • Assist in developing safety programs and training for staff.
  • Engage with the community to build trust and rapport.
  • Work with local agencies to coordinate safety efforts.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct security assessments of transit facilities.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in law enforcement or safety roles
