Job Description

We seek a diligent Chick Grader who will evaluate and sort newly-hatched chicks, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards. Your work will directly influence the health and productivity of our poultry operations.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health and vitality of newly-hatched chicks.
• Implement quality control measures to meet operational standards.
• Collaborate with hatchery staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Document grading data accurately and report findings.
• Train new hires on grading best practices and safety protocols.
• Engage in problem-solving to address any issues in the grading process.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a hatchery is an advantage

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Data entry and record-keeping
• Knowledge of poultry health parameters

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Physical stamina

Advantageous

• Poultry-related certifications or training: Certifications that enhance grading skills and knowledge.
• Experience with automated grading systems: Familiarity with automated systems for grading efficiency.
