Telecommunications Equipment Installer

Job Description

As a Telecommunications Equipment Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at various customer locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in telecommunications and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and configurations of telecommunications systems and hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during installation and maintenance.
• Work alongside engineers to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Document installation procedures and maintenance protocols comprehensively.
• Assist in stock management of equipment and tools used for installations.
• Conduct assessments to identify areas for service improvements.
• Develop solid rapport with clients, ensuring excellent customer service standards.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed, sharing expertise and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in Telecommunications or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications installation

Technical Skills

• Fiber Optic Installations
• Wireless System Setup

Certifications

• BICSI Installer Certification
• CompTIA Network+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Project Management: Ability to oversee installation projects and ensure timely completion.
