911 Emergency Services Dispatcher

Join our team as a 911 Emergency Services Dispatcher. In this vital role, you will be tasked with receiving emergency calls, dispatching first responders, and providing crucial information to those in need. Your expertise and calm demeanor will be key in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact during emergency situations.
• Coordinate with various agencies to ensure an integrated response.
• Review and analyze incident reports to improve future responses.
• Train new dispatchers as part of onboarding and skill development.
• Support public safety initiatives through effective communication.
• Utilize mapping and GPS tools to track emergency vehicles accurately.
• Adhere to confidentiality protocols regarding sensitive information.
• Provide feedback for dispatch system improvements based on daily operations.
• Participate in debriefings after major incidents to evaluate response effectiveness.
• Promote a culture of safety and preparedness within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree in a related field is a plus

Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment required

Technical Skills

• Emergency response software
• Mapping and GPS tools

Soft Skills

• Flexibility

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid certification
• Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Conversational
