Job Description

As a Motor Brakeman, you will be responsible for operating the brakes on our electric locomotives and ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our trains. Your role will be critical to control the speed and performance of various machinery, while collaborating with other team members to adhere to safety policies and optimize operations.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage brake systems on electric motors and ensure operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for newly implemented system upgrades.
  • Lead efforts in safety compliance and incident reporting.
  • Provide input on machinery improvements and efficiency measures.
  • Attend regular safety meetings and updates.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support team operations.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a technical training program in railroad operations is a plus.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in operating hand and air brakes on locomotives.

Languages
