Job Description

As a Housing Director, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of our housing programs, ensuring compliance with regulations while promoting the well-being of our residents. Your leadership will guide staff towards implementing effective housing policies and procedures, fostering a community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning for housing initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure effective communication with tenants and staff.
  • Monitor and report on housing program outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Improve organizational effectiveness through continuous evaluation of housing practices.
  • Facilitate outreach programs to engage with the local community.
  • Attend meetings and engage with local housing authorities and community organizations.
  • Advocate for tenant needs and concerns at all levels.
  • Utilize technology to improve property management and tenant services.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is preferred
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in housing management or related field
Technical Skills
  • Experience with property management software
  • Budget management and financial reporting skills
Soft Skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Certifications
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM)
  • Housing Development Finance Professional (HDFP)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
