Paper Mill Electrician

Job Description

The Paper Mill Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems in our state-of-the-art paper mill facility. As part of our maintenance team, you will ensure that electrical systems operate without interruption, contributing to optimal production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and routine maintenance of electrical systems.
• Identify and resolve all electrical system malfunctions promptly.
• Leverage preventive maintenance practices to minimize system failures.
• Collaborate with maintenance management to implement project deadlines.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety practices.
• Keep accurate documentation and reporting of all maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance and training to apprentice electricians.
• Research and implement best practices in electrical maintenance.
• Support compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Participate in safety audits and inspections regularly.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical work, particularly in paper mills.
