Job Description

As a Transit and Railroad Police Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers and property across our transit systems. Your role will involve patrolling areas, enforcing laws, and responding to emergencies to maintain public order.

Responsibilities

  • Execute foot and vehicle patrols in designated transit areas.
  • Investigate and solve crimes occurring within the transit system.
  • Maintain order during public events and community gatherings.
  • Coordinate with other agencies for major safety events.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on activities and incidents.
  • Attend workshops and training to stay updated on law enforcement standards.
  • Educate passengers on safety policies and emergency procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with commuters to enhance community trust.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in law enforcement or security
