We are on the lookout for a skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Indianapolis. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing risk, analyzing insurance applications, and deciding on coverage terms. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive the best possible coverage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop pricing strategies based on underwriting assessment.
• Communicate underwriting standards to agents and provide support as needed.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies and make adjustments as necessary.
• Identify market trends and adjust underwriting criteria accordingly.
• Participate in the referral process for more complicated cases.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines related to insurance underwriting.
• Assist in the development of digital underwriting tools and processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Advanced certifications in underwriting are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or risk management
