Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Chip Unloader to join our Material Handling team. The Chip Unloader will be responsible for unloading wood chips from trucks, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Unload wood chips from delivery trucks using specialized equipment.
  • Transport wood chips to designated processing areas.
  • Operate machinery and equipment for wood chip processing.
  • Monitor and control material flow to optimize processing efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of processed materials.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year in a physically demanding job role

Certifications
  • Forklift certification (a plus)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience in the forestry or wood processing industry: Prior work in industries handling wood processing or forestry products is preferred.
  • Additional certifications in safety or machinery operation: Having certifications related to safety protocols or machinery operation is beneficial.
