Funeral Embalmer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Funeral Embalmer to join our funeral services team. The Funeral Embalmer will be responsible for preparing deceased individuals for burial or cremation, ensuring proper preservation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct embalming processes while adhering to health standards.
• Support families during visitations and provide guidance on best practices.
• Assist with cosmetic preparation of the deceased for viewings.
• Manage the logistical aspects of transporting the deceased.
• Review embalming techniques and stay current on industry practices.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the embalming and preparation area.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance service offerings and family support.
• Oversee the maintenance of all related equipment and supplies.
• Engage in community outreach to educate on funeral services.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited mortuary science program
• State-issued embalmer license

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in embalming
