Operating Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as an Operating Engineer, where you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery on construction sites. We are looking for someone with a strong safety record and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the effective and efficient operation of heavy construction equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and necessary repairs on machinery.
• Collaborate with crews for optimal operational efficiency and productivity.
• Perform site inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain logs and reports on equipment usage and maintenance.
• Train and mentor junior operators on equipment use and safety.
• Manage equipment inventory and report needs to supervisors.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials.
• Act as a point of contact for equipment-related questions and issues.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical training or certifications in heavy machinery operation is beneficial

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction equipment operation
