Job Description

The Margin Clerk is responsible for managing margin requirements and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The candidate will work closely with traders and risk management teams to support the margin operations, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Process margin account applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Verify client eligibility for margin trading, following regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of margin account transactions and balances.
  • Monitor margin calls and communicate with clients regarding required funds or securities.
  • Assist in margin account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare margin-related reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and company policies related to margin trading.
  • Provide support to clients and internal teams regarding margin account inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Margin Compliance Team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the margin department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in margin operations or related role
