Job Description

As a Chemical Dependency Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals struggling with substance abuse. Your expertise will help clients navigate their recovery journey through personalized treatment plans and supportive therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Implement relapse prevention strategies in therapy sessions.
  • Conduct regular follow-up assessments to track patient progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of treatment progress and updates.
  • Educate the community on addiction issues and available resources.
  • Ensure that all interventions are culturally competent and sensitive.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to provide therapy as needed.
  • Participate in continuing education for professional growth.
  • Promote a supportive and non-judgmental treatment environment.
  • Develop group activities that foster peer support and connection.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Certification in Addiction Counseling is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of direct experience in substance abuse treatment
