Job Description

As an Acute Care Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to assist patients in their recovery process. Your role includes implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Help occupational therapists conduct patient evaluations and assessments.
  • Implement treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Facilitate therapeutic exercises that promote mobility and independence.
  • Aid patients in their daily living activities to enhance quality of life.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Keep thorough documentation of patient treatments and progress.
  • Guide patients and families in self-management and recovery techniques.
  • Contribute to discharge planning and coordination with external providers.
  • Attend training and development sessions to improve skills.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in diverse patient settings preferred
