We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer with expertise in flood control systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing flood control projects aimed at protecting communities from flooding risks.
Responsibilities
Assess existing infrastructure for flood mitigation and recommend enhancements.
Apply software tools for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
Lead project meetings and coordinate with contractors.
Ensure compliance with environmental laws and safety regulations.
Conduct field tests to evaluate system effectiveness.
Advocate for community-engaged approaches to flood management.
Develop project proposals and funding applications.
Analyze water management data to inform decision-making.
Support disaster risk reduction and emergency response initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Master's degree is preferred
Experience
3-5 years of experience in flood control engineering or related field
