Job Description

The Electrical Lineworker is crucial in ensuring the integrity of power distribution systems. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical power lines, often working at significant heights and in challenging weather conditions. Candidates should have a keen attention to safety protocols and a collaborative spirit to work alongside skilled technicians to meet the energy needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and repair of electrical power systems and lines.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
• Collaborate with various teams and departments to address electrical issues.
• Assist in planning and executing new line installations or upgrades.
• Maintain equipment and tools used in the operation.
• Participate in emergency response and restoration efforts during severe weather events.
• Document work performed and report to supervisors regularly.
• Utilize CAD software to help plan out jobs and understand layouts.
• Ensure that all electrical work adheres to local codes and standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or relevant certification
• Vocational training in electrical technology preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of field experience, preferably in energy utilities
