Job Description

As a Critical Care Nurse in our ICU, you will provide essential care to critically ill patients, expertly monitoring their vital signs and administering life-saving treatments under high-pressure conditions. Your skills in quick decision-making and patient advocacy are crucial in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, adapting care based on assessments.
  • Administer IV medications and support therapies as part of treatment protocols.
  • Coordinate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Document and communicate patient responses and progress to the healthcare team.
  • Engage with families to provide support and ensure understanding of patient care plans.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the ICU to facilitate patient care.
  • Handle specialized medical equipment, ensuring proper function and readiness.
  • Conduct patient education regarding their care and recovery process.
  • Actively participate in hospital meetings and training sessions.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the ICU department.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) preferred
Experience
  • Experience in critical care settings is a plus.

  • Experience with EMR systems

  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
