Job Description

As an Obstetrics Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to expectant mothers. You will assist in prenatal care, labor, and postpartum procedures, ensuring both the mother and newborn receive comprehensive support.

Responsibilities

  • Support expectant mothers during prenatal visits and provide education on pregnancy-related topics.
  • Help administer anesthesia during procedures, ensuring safety and comfort for the patient.
  • Conduct assessments and prepare mothers for labor and delivery.
  • Facilitate communication among the healthcare team to enhance patient care.
  • Uphold hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.
  • Engage in patient advocacy, promoting best practices in maternity care.
  • Assist in arranging follow-up care for mothers post-delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid RN license in the state of California.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
Experience
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience with a focus on obstetrics or maternal health.
