Job Description

As a Librarian and Media Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting government agencies by managing and providing access to vital documents and media resources, while also educating users on governmental policies and information retrieval.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and process government documents and media.
  • Create and maintain accurate catalog entries and metadata for all resources.
  • Assist patrons in locating and retrieving information.
  • Evaluate and recommend new acquisitions for the media collection.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to library services.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs.
  • Develop guides and instructional materials for library users.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Library Science or related field
  • Experience with government documents collections preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in library or information science, preferably with a focus on government information.
