Job Description

As a Loan Interviewer, you will play a critical role in evaluating mortgage loan applications. Your main responsibilities will include interviewing applicants, verifying their financial information, and assessing their eligibility for loan approval. With a keen eye for detail and an understanding of the mortgage process, you will provide valuable insights that help clients secure their dream homes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough interviews with potential borrowers to gather necessary information.
  • Assess and verify applicant data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to expedite loan approvals.
  • Educate applicants about loan products and options available to them.
  • Investigate any discrepancies in application data promptly.
  • Provide feedback to improve the application process based on applicant experiences.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for final review.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in mortgage lending.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Mortgage Loan Originator) preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services field.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with mortgage loan origination systems
