Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Rail Yard Engineer, Dinkey Operator, and Hostler to ensure the safe and efficient transport of ingots within our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in maintaining operational workflow and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all transportation equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
- Engage in the training of new operators in safety and operational procedures.
- Evaluate and improve processes for ingot handling.
- Lead safety meetings to reinforce operational protocols.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications in heavy machinery operation preferred
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a rail yard or similar environment
Technical Skills
- Forklift operation
- Quality control
Soft Skills
- Problem-solving
- Effective communication
Languages
- English: Fluent
Advantageous
- Certification in safety management: Safety certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience in high-volume production environments: Experience in busy manufacturing settings preferred.
