Tuck Pointer Helper

Job Description

As a Tuck Pointer Helper at Masonry Works Inc., you will play a crucial role in our masonry projects. Under the guidance of experienced tuck pointers, you'll assist in the tuckpointing process, which involves the application of mortar and restoration of various masonry structures. This physically demanding job requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team environment. You will be actively involved in prepping materials, lifting heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix mortar according to specifications.
• Move bricks and other materials to work areas.
• Assist with setting up scaffolding and ladders.
• Help to clean and restore deteriorated masonry.
• Assist skilled workers with various masonry tasks.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site.
• Participate in team meetings and training.
• Perform cleanup duties at job sites after tasks are completed.
• Document daily work activities and progress.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• No prior experience is required, but knowledge of construction and willingness to learn are advantageous.
