Job Description

As a Rail Maintenance Worker at Rail Solutions Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining rail infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include inspecting tracks, signals, and other systems to ensure their safe and effective operation. We are seeking individuals who can work independently and as part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular checks on railway equipment and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs.
  • Assist in emergency response actions to minimize service disruptions.
  • Keep track of inventory and request supplies for maintenance tasks.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay current with industry practices.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss safety and maintenance strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training or certification in railway maintenance preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in railway maintenance or construction preferred
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Soft Skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
Certifications
  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Welding or electrical experience: Familiarity with welding and electrical systems in railway maintenance.
  • Experience with concrete or asphalt repairs: Ability to carry out minor repairs to railway surfaces.
